Visual Design
Gamesheet had just finished their brand overhaul and needed help bringing their new personality to the website. Using the existing materials as a starting point, we created a revamped product site that sold their features and service in a compelling way and resonated with their audience.
Context
The old Gamesheet website needed a pick me up. With new traction as this digital product was starting to sell, the existing logo combined with the black / red color combination felt too aggressive. The site was not much to look at either. Before we started on the website, I recommended a rebrand to set the stage with the correct design direction before the big overhaul.
The one thing this website was doing incredibly well was social proof. They had a ton of excellent content that clearly covered use cases and positive praise for the product. Where most of the work was involved was improving the aesthetics and structure of the site for a more legitimate feel.
Planning
The hierarchy of the site was relatively flat, and not much rhyme or reason to it. I created a preliminary plan for how to organize the new pages, and help the owners understand how things were about to shift. This plan will often change as we start designing, but its a great starting point to give clients a clear look at the general outline before diving into content discussions or visual exploration.
Exploration
As we just finished the branding exercise, this was an interesting exercise for how we start applying those elements. We went through quite a few back and forth sessions with the clients to nail down the content and copy. The focus was creating a high impact design, something that felt technical but also energetic and bold.
Results
The look and feel of the new Gamesheet site did a great job of standing out from the competition, and stayed true to the personalities of the owners. I was (and still am) proud every time I look at this design. The clients loved it and they feel it perfectly embodies their company and serves them well.
